Kes Efstathiou is a photographic artist interested in the intersection of materials and digital technology. His work with drones and aerial imagery has been exhibited in several national exhibitions including a group show entitled Landform at Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York. The show compiled artist whose work revolves around representation and consumption of the sublime in the digital age.
Efstathiou has a MFA in Imaging Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and a BA in Photography from Montana State University - Bozeman. He currently lives in Rochester, New York where he is a professor at RIT.
In his free time, Kes enjoys sipping on bourbon while wearing buffalo checkered plaid.
Kes likes to believe he was the first person with a consumer drone before they were controversial and before they were mainstream.
